The installation process will be carried out during the first 10 days of February

RAWALPINDI:

The district administration has decided to install closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras in the premises of the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium (RCS) ahead of the tour of the South African team, a spokesperson shared on Thursday.

The surveillance cameras would be installed inside, outside and on the main road to ensure foolproof security for the Test matches against South Africa as well as the upcoming Pakistan Super League.

The contract would be given to the private sector while a control room will be set up as well, the official mentioned, adding that the administration will also install walk-through gates at all entry points of the stadium.

Deputy Commissioner has sought offers from the private sector until January 25 while the installation process will be carried out during the first 10 days of February.
