Sewage treatment plant restored
The sewage treatment plant (STP) dysfunctional for past four years was made functional by the federal capital’s administrative body for recycling wastewater for irrigation purposes.
STP was previously treating two million gallons of sewage water per day now it has the ability to treat seven million gallons of sewage water per day. STP treated water will be utilised in gardening, department of environment, and for construction purposes.
Henceforth, 10 million gallons per day sewage will be recycled in coming three months through this treatment plant. Sewerage pipelines are also being improved. A tank having capacity of 20,000 gallons water will also be constructed.
Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Aamir Ali Ahmed said that the current administration of CDA repaired STP in just two months.
