Harry Potter-themed park to spellbind in Tokyo

The Park will likely open to tourists in the first half of 2023, an official press release states

It is a known fact that Harry Potter fans also called ‘Potterheads’ are dispersed all over the world. And despite the fact that the characters in the books and films have completed their arc, fans seek for something new on them, just so they can relive the world of magic, reported Indian Express.

94-year-old amusement park Toshimaen closed in August to make way for the new Harry Potter-themed park expected to open for public in 2023.

Just like other such theme parks around the world, this one will also have everything Harry Potter and will make you feel as though you have come into the world of sorceresses and wizards.

The deliberate Harry Potter fascination will seemingly remind you of the Warner Bros Studio Tour in London where visitors can view production sets, get up-close with props like wands and potions and roam around the shopping street of Diagon Alley just like the movies. However, the new park will not have rides like the ones at Universal Studios Japan.

“Visitors can explore the iconic movie sets that were actually designed and built by the creators of the Harry Potter series. Showcasing original costumes and props, the indoor attraction invites visitors to experience scenes from the films firsthand and discover how the world’s favourite book series was brought to life on the screen,” the release states.

The park will likely be spread across 30,000 square metres, and an exhibition space will also be there.
