Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed joins TikTok

The Vice President of UAE already has around 200,000 followers on the platform

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai has launched an official account on TikTok, reported Arab News. Al Maktoum revealed the news on Sunday in a Twitter post.

“Today I launched my official account on social media platform TikTok, the fastest growing in the world with over 800,000,000 million subscribers. We want to be where the people are and we want to create positive Arab content. We want to listen to the youth and tell them our story,” the vice president of the UAE said.

 

He has already put two posts on his account with one of them being a motivational story featuring his own voice.

In the video, the ruler of Dubai is heard telling the story of a lion and a gazelle, both of whom have to wake up and do their best just to survive each day by running. “When you wake up, you better start running,” Sheikh Mohammed says in the video, explaining why he is constantly pushing his team to strive for the best. The video has already garnered 1.4 million views.

At present, his TikTok account has around 200,000 followers.
