Inquiry finds cops responsible for custodial death
An inquiry report has implicated the officials of Sukkur Police for the custodial death of Aijaz Arain in August at Sultanpur police station.
The report, compiled by Karachi Training DIG Naeem Ahmed Sheikh, suggested that the police handled the case negligently.
Arain, a resident of Faisalabad, who was locked up for a property dispute with a woman, was arrested allegedly in a fake case, the report revealed.
The DIG's report suggested action against the cops including Masood Mahar, Liaquat Abbassi and Saeed Shaikh and others involved in the case.
