QUETTA:

An accountability court in Quetta rejected the plea of former Balochistan Development Authority Chairman Anwar Sadat in a massive corruption case on Wednesday.

Sadat is facing a reference filed by the National Accountability Bureau’s Balochsitan chapter in the construction of Zhob Mir Ali Khel Road project.

As per NAB’s investigation into the construction of the road project, Sadat and former Additional Chief Secretary Development Ali Zaheer Hazara misused their powers and illegally transferred the Mir Ali Khel road construction project from the department of C & W to BDA.

The accused officers with mutual understanding increased cost of the road construction project.
