Police set up female front desk

ASP Pari highlighted how the police force is trying to eradicate crime from the society

Balochistan police has set up a female front desk to register complaints by women for the first time ever.

"A separate desk has been set up in Cantt Circle to register complaints of women," Sub Divisional Police Officer Cantt Circle ASP Pari Gul Tareen confirmed while speaking to media personnel at Bijli Ghar Police Station.

She added that police cannot control crime without public support and it is essential to build a bridge between the police and public. “I am determined to change the traditional police culture.”

ASP Pari highlighted how the police force is trying to eradicate crime from the society. “Police officers and personnel are performing their duties 24 hours a day as compared to other government departments.”

She went on to praise women who are opting to join profession meant for men. "It is commendable that women are coming forward in various fields in Balochistan. Women belonging to the tribal province are working alongside men in other fields including civil service, medicine, law and politics," ASP Pari said.
