Danish diplomats on Tuesday visited the Buddhist archaeological site at Bhamala near Khanpur. Danish Ambassador Lis Rosenholm applauded the efforts of the government in preserving the historic site and inscribed her views in the visitors’ log placed at the museum.
A tourist present at the site entertained the guests by playing the guitar. She suggested that signboards should be put up to enlighten tourists about the site.
The delegation also visited other sites and commended the development work undertaken in Khyber-Pakhtunkhua’s tourism sector.
Tourists present at the sites demanded greater focus on the tourism industry as it can help revive the economy by producing capital gains. Rosenholm appreciated the courtesy extended towards her during the visit.
