Pakistan Army and Russian troops participated in the two-week Druzhba-V exercises in Tarbela and Pabbi

The fifth edition of the joint Pakistan-Russia military exercises concluded with a ceremony attended by Inspector General of Training Lieutenant Gen Sher Afghan and the Russian ambassador to Pakistan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Thursday.

Pakistan Army and Russian troops participated in the two-week Druzhba-V exercises in Tarbela and Pabbi. The military media wing said that the special forces troops from both the countries demonstrated combat skills, including Skydiving and shooting.

Druzhba exercises are aimed at benefiting from each other’s experiences in counter-terrorism. The first Pak-Russia joint exercises were held in Pakistan in 2016 and the third in 2018. The second and fourth editions were held in Russia in 2017 and 2019.
