WASA to desilt sewers across city

FAISALABAD:

Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) has launched a sewerage de-silting campaign across the city.

This was stated by WASA Vice Chairman Sheikh Shahid Javed during his visit to Waris Pura, D-Type Colony, Iqbal Park, Shalimar Park and other areas.

He said that measures were being taken to de-silt all the sewerage lines especially in the affected areas on a priority basis so that the complaints of the citizens could be resolved.

He emphasized that WASA was striving hard to provide quality water supply and sewerage facilities. He urged the masses to refrain from dumping plastics and other non-biodegradable garbage into the sewers to prevent sewage overflow.
