PSP to hold rally in Bagh-e-Jinnah today
Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) will expose the lies of Pakistan's rulers and the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), insisted party chief Mustafa Kamal on Saturday.
He was addressing a press conference a day before the PSP's rally, planned to be held at Bagh-e-Jinnah today (Sunday).
"The historic rally at Bagh-e-Jinnah will tell the world that Karachi is not only the leader of Pakistan's economy but also its politics," he asserted.
Dismissing the PDM's recent flexing of muscles in the port city, Kamal said that the 11 political parties under its umbrella had made an unsuccessful attempt to hold a rally here. "The PDM's narrative has nothing to do with the plight of the public and the residents of Karachi," he insisted, adding that the alliance's only aim was to secure political benefits for itself.
Stating that PSP would expose the lies of the rulers and the PDM, he said, "Today is the day of accountability of those responsible for the destruction of Karachi and [the rest of] Sindh."
Kamal pointed out the city contributed Rs3 trillion to the national accounts. “It does not need a charitable package when it gives packages to the entire country."
