Three brothers killed, father injured in Daska

Victims were tied with ropes, attacked with knives

SIALKOT:

Three brothers were shot dead while their father was injured over old enmity in village Qila Tek Singh-Bambanwala, Tehsil Daska, on Thursday.

Police said local farmer Muhammad Ehsan (55) and his three young sons - Amir, Arsalan and Shakir - were present at their outhouse when some unidentified assailants came there and tied them with ropes.

The accused first attacked them with knives then opened fire on them. As a result, Amir (35), Arsalan (28) and Shakir (33) died on the spot while their father Muhammad Ehsan (55) suffered serious injuries. Police shifted the bodies and the injured to Civil Hospital Daska.

Bambanwala police have started investigation into the triple murder incident.

Disputes over land and monetary affairs are rampant across Punjab. In April, a man killed four members of a family allegedly over monetary dispute in Daska city. Police, accused Zafarullah killed four members of a family, including minors with repeated attacks of knives over a money matter.

He threw bodies of slain victim, Muhammad Seed, his wife Sidra Bibi in nearby fields. He threw bodies of two minor sons in a local canal, near Sambrial.

DPO Sialkot Capt (retd) Mustansar Feroz visited the spot and launched investigation. He said that Daska police arrested accused Zafarul¬lah. Divers were searching for bodies of slain minors. Further investigation was underway.
