‘Drug dealer’ arrested with 5.3 kilos of heroin

The homicide unit recovered a 30-bore pistol from a suspect

ISLAMABAD:

Police in the federal capital have made a major drug bust, arresting a suspected drug dealer and recovering around 5.264 kilogrammes of heroin from his possession, a police spokesperson said on Tuesday.

The official said that in different operations, raids and snap checking, police had arrested as many as 12 suspects from various areas of the city, recovering drugs, liquor and weapons from their possession.

SP Rural Farooq Amjad Butter constituted a special team, under the supervision of DSP Rukhsar Mehdi, who successfully arrested suspected drug peddler, identified as Muhammad Shah. They also recovered 5.264 kilogrammes of heroin from his possession.

In a separate action, the Karachi Company police arrested a suspect identified as Qaiser Yaqoob and recovered seven bottles of wine from his possession.

The homicide unit recovered a 30-bore pistol from a suspect, identified as Shoaib, as part of a murder probe.

The Shams colony police arrested Muhammad Waseem and recovered an unlicenced 30-bore pistol from his possession.

Moreover, the Khanna police arrested Abdullah after recovering an unlicenced 9mm pistol along with ammunition from his possession. The Sihala police arrested Aqib Javed and recovered an unlicenced 30-bore pistol from his possession.
