Politics and crime must be kept separate, says Faraz on Ayaz Sadiq's statement
Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz said on Sunday that politics and crime must be kept seperate.
Taking to Twitter, the minister said the red line in politics and Pakistan's national interest must be obeyed.
" The nation understands the difference between Nawaz Sharif's interests and national interests,Nawaz Sharif's followers will also have to accept this," he added.
The information minister's statement came in continuity of his and other government officials' statements condemning Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz MNA Ayaz Sadiq's October 28 National Assembly speech wherein he implied that the PTI government had buckled under fear of an Indian attack and released an Indian pilot captured during last year’s military standoff between the two hostile neighbours.
Faraz had on Friday also tweeted against the PML-N leader's speech, saying "it was beyond pardon, and that the law would take its course".
“Ayaz Sadiq and his followers should be punished as weakening the state is an unforgivable crime,” the information minister had said.
