NBF Reader’s Club draws book lovers

The membership drive will continue for three months to facilitate book readers at low prices

The Reader’s Club of the National Book Foundation (NBF) has launched a membership drive, attracting book lovers with discounts.

The drive commenced on October 19 to provide standard books at half the price.

An NBF official said hundreds of readers have signed up for the club as members can get books for a whopping 55 per cent discount under the scheme.

He said that the membership fee is set at Rs110, adding that the Readers Club Scheme attracts number of book lovers who wait anxiously for the scheme.

The membership drive will continue for three months to facilitate book readers at low prices.

To obtain membership, an applicant needs to show a copy of their Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) and two passport-sized photos. He said that membership will be provided on first-come-first-serve basis at NBF Head Office and at regional branches. Other projects include Village Book Clubs, City Book Clubs and Children’s Book Clubs .
