Urwa Hocane beats the covid blues with a trip up north

With winter around the corner, many of us tend to clear up our schedules for a quick trip up north to soak up some scenic extravagance enveloping the peaks of our beautiful country, Pakistan. Likewise, Urwa Hocane packed her bags and made her way up to one of the most picturesque places in our country, the land of Gilgit-Baltistan. With over four million followers on Instagram, Urwa made befitting use of her influence and brought to light the striking beauty and diversity of Pakistan’s land and culture.

Away from the hustle and bustle of the big city, Urwa took her time to explore the beautiful blue lakes and snow covered mountains of Skardu. In a series of photos, Urwa shared the highlights of her journey with her fans and followers.

From the mesmeric Kachura Lakes, Urwa Hocane began her journey with a boat ride across the waters to experience nature’s grandeur first-hand.

Making her way to River Indus afterwards, Hocane shared a short video of herself walking on the dried up plain with an awe-inspiring view in the background. On her way to Deosai, Urwa stopped at a quaint little village atop a hill known as Satpara, where she was pictured wearing a traditional Iraghi cap.

Urwa also visited Shigar Fort while in Skardu. Talking about her visit to the 400 year old fort, Urwa was fascinated with such historical landmarks. She also shared that listening to the exhilarating stories of the ancient fort brought out the child in her while camping in Katpana Desert was the highlight of her trip to Skardu

The fashionista also styled a gorgeous traditional look donning a vibrant mirror worked kurta, an Iraghi cap and a stunning silver headdress.
