Two dengue cases confirmed

13 patients were under treatment

LAHORE:

Punjab reported two new confirmed dengue cases whereas 748 suspected cases of the viral infection were recorded during the last 24 hours. According to the spokesperson for Primary & Secondary Healthcare (P&SHD) Department on Wednesday, both confirmed cases of dengue had been reported in Lahore. The suspected cases had been kept in surveillance and their tests were being conducted. So far 107 cases of dengue had been confirmed from January this year in the province. However, 94 patients had been discharged after recovery and currently 13 patients were under treatment. The spokesperson claimed that no death due to dengue was reported this year due to effective measures taken by the government, adding that the health department was continuously working against dengue across the province.
