The Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal has inaugurated the Turbat City Development Project (TCDP) phase two scheme.
This project was launched at a cost of Rs285 million.
While briefing the honorable chief minister on different aspects of the project, Commissioner Mekran division informed that Rs500 million were released by the provincial government of Balochistan for the project. “Rs440 million have been utilised on road construction and other development sectors of the project of Turbat city development scheme.
Addressing the occasion, CM Kamal said the government of Balochistan through a comprehensive plan and strategy has initiated different development projects across Balochistan. “We have been striving hard to bring Balochistan at par with other provinces.”
He added that the aforementioned project is a very inclusive and wide ranging programme for the development and progress of the city. “With the completion of this project, Turbat will become a new and well-built modern city.”
Jam Kamal further apprised about how special attention has been given to the construction of road networks and beautification of the city. “Under TCDP phase 2, new projects of health, education, water supply and other necessities of life will be started along with the construction of road extension projects,” he said. “Provincial government of Balochistan is committed to bring progressive change in the least developed areas of the province. Various development projects will be launched with the federal government’s assistance for the development of southern Balochistan on priority. Entire focus of the elected government is on development and we are striving hard to bring least developed areas equal to developed regions.”
Provincial minister for social welfare Balochistan Mir Assadullah Baloch, minister for communication and works Balochistan Mir Aarif Jaan Muhammad Hasni, Advisor for sports and culture Abdul Khaaliq Hazaara, legislatures of Balochistan assembly Maah e Jabeen Sheeran, Syed Ehsaan Shah, Laala Rasheed Dashti, Danesh Kumar, Commissioner Mekran division Tariq Qamar Baloch, Deputy Commissioner Kech Major retired Muhammad Ilyas Kibzai, tribal chieftains, elders and notables also attended the inauguration ceremony.
