Gold ornaments, cash looted
Cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 2.2 million were stolen and six mobile phones in separate robberies in Kasur. Police said on Wednesday that some armed suspects barged into the house of Muhammad Sattar in Nawan Chah Rakhwala, Khadian and made the family hostage. The robbers looted Rs1 million cash, eight-tola gold and six mobile phones. Separately, Ahmed Raza was mugged while he was travelling on a motorcycle. His motorcycle and cash amounting to Rs25,000 were snatched at gunpoint. In another incident, unidentified thieves stole cash worth Rs190,000 at gunpoint, while in Gulberg Colony, robbers stole Rs20,000 from the shop of Qaiser Mehmood and managed to escape. Police registered separate cases and started further investigation.
