MQM-L ‘target killers’ remanded
A local court sent on Monday two accused target killers of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London to jail on judicial remand in a case pertaining to possession of illegal weapons.
The West judicial magistrate was hearing the case at Karachi City Court, where the accused were presented by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) after the completion of judicial remand.
The court remanded the accused again.
According to the CTD, the accused were involved in the targeted killing of Education Department director Naeem, deputy director Moin and police officials.
The magistrate also sent accused Babar Ali to jail on a two-day physical remand in a case pertaining to the theft of electricity poles.
The investigation officer informed the court that Ali had been accused of stealing 56 poles, which had been recovered from his possession.
The court remanded the accused and sought a progress report at the next hearing.
