Petition against Arif Alvi

The petition stated Dr Alvi should be barred from contesting elections, claiming he had tampered with land records.

Corruption in antiquities dept

A bench headed by Justice KK Agha, meanwhile, sought the complete record of inquiry and investigation into former antiquities director-general Manzoor Kanasro and nine other officers from the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) prosecutor and investigation officer (IO).

The court was hearing the bail plea filed by the accused in a NAB corruption reference.

The court expressed displeasure when the accused’s counsels of the accused sought more time for their arguments, pointing out that they did not appear in court after obtaining interim bail.

The court directed the NAB prosecutor and petitioners’ counsels to present their arguments on Tuesday (today), seeking complete case records from NAB.
