Four motorbike thieves arrested

The Fatehjang police have arrested four suspected bike lifters and recovered four stolen motorbikes from their possession.
The accused were identified as Arang resident Mumtaz Ali alias Khata, Dhoke Keer residents Sajid alias Don, Abdul Majeed, Mohmand resident Kamran.
Fatehjang DSP Zulfiqar Gillani said that that all the criminals had been booked under the relevant acts and were sent behind bars.
He said that during initial questioning, the bike lifters had confessed that they had stolen motorbikes from the Hazro and Attock areas of the district. Meanwhile, the police arrested 12 gamblers during a raid at two different gambling dens within the limits of the Injra and Jand police stations. The police said that they had received a tip-off about gambling activities in the area. Subsequently, police squads raided the suspected gambling dens in Injra and arrested seven gamblers.
Police also recovered gambling tools and stake money worth Rs61,000. Separately, the Jand police raided a suspected gambling den and arrested five gamblers. Police recovered stake money worth Rs0.265 million and registered cases.
