Fake passports: Two arrested for using tampered documents at BBIA

Both suspects were shifted to the Federal Investigation Agency Anti-Human Trafficking Cell.

Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) officials arrested two men for using tampered travel documents and a fake British Passport. They were trying to travel to the UK and were arrested  during immigration clearance at Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Islamabad.


Muhammad Ayub, who bore a ticket for Dammam, Saudi Arabia on flight NL 713, was trying to travel on his brother’s passport.


His brother was already in Saudi Arabia, said a Federal Investigation Agency official, Afzal Niazi.

He said the officials also found a fake British passport in the possession of Ashfaq Anjum who was subsequently arrested at the airport.

Both suspects were shifted to the Federal Investigation Agency Anti-Human Trafficking Cell (AHTC) for further legal action and investigation.
