Frequent outages: Call for upgrading grid stations

Minister says work on the Buner grid station should be completed without any delay.

PESHAWAR: Work on the Buner grid station should be completed without any delay and an additional transformer should immediately be installed at the Chakdara grid station, Khyber-Pakthunkhwa Finance Minister Hamayun Khan ordered officials of the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) on Sunday. He said that problems of power outages in Malakand should be addressed. The minister, who paid a surprise visit to the 132KV Chakdara grid station after taking notice of incessant power outages and complaints of low voltage.
