As part of its anti-encroachment drive, the apex civic agency of the federal capital on Monday demolished illegal structures in different parts of the city. A statement issued by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Monday read that the operation was conducted by the Enforcement Directorate with assistance from the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration, Islamabad Police and other concerned departments. During the operation, teams of Enforcement Directorate demolished seven rooms, three kitchens, two garages and eight boundary walls built on state land in the Jaba Tailee area. In another operation on Monday, an illegally constructed room in Sector I-14/4 was also demolished. At least two sheds constructed illegally in street 14 of Sector I-14 were also razed. Similarly, two boundary walls and a side wall constructed in Sector G-12 was also demolished. An illegal boundary wall in Mohallah Darah of Saidpur, an illegally constructed kiosk on Motorway Chowk on Grand Trunk Road and three illegally constructed rooms on GT Road near the Sangjiani Toll Plaza was also demolished.
