A man allegedly sexually assaulted his daughter-in-law and tortured her in a village.

The police registered a case and launched raids to nab the accused. A resident of village 424GB stated in her complaint lodged at the local police station that her father-in-law Ali Sher, son of Ghulam, had raped her while her husband was not present in the house.

She said that when she screamed, the accused put his hand on her mouth and tortured her. She said he had also told her husband Qasim Ali about the incident but he had ignored her complaint.

Tandlianwala city police registered a case against the accused under section 376 of the Penal Code and started raids for his arrest. In another incident, an 11-year-old boy was sexually assaulted by four men in village 240RB. According to the report registered by the police, the boy was taken by Shah Wali, Gul Nawaz alias Glu and their accomplices to a building and sexually assaulted after he left his home to buy grocery. The police registered a case against the accused and launched raids to arrest them.

Cases of rape and attempt to sexually assault women and minors are rampant in the district. On September 13, three men severely injured a woman who resisted their attempt to rape her four-year-old daughter. Tandlianwala police shifted the woman to a hospital and registered a case.

Three other cases of sexual assaults on children were also reported on the same day in different areas of the city.
