The pension file of the employees of the Federal Directorate of Education will be completed at least a month prior to their retirement so that they do not face any encumbrance after leaving the office, said Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) Director General Zia Batool.
She was speaking at a farewell function held in the honour of the teachers who had retired from government educational institutions in Islamabad.
It was the first farewell for retiring teachers held at official level where besides director general, Additional Secretary Mohiuddin Wani, Area Education Officer Urban-1 Aftab Tariq and other officers of the directorate participated. The retired teachers were praised for their services in the ceremony.
Wani said teachers play an important role in the future of any nation. A nation that does not respect its teachers can never succeed, he said.
