Seven withdraw Senate nominations

As the by-elections for the seat belonging to (late) Senator Mir Hasil Bizenjo will be held on September 12

QUETTA:

Five candidates withdrew their nomination papers in the by-elections of the Senate. According to Election Commission officials, the development took place on the last day. The Senate seat up for grabs belonged to (late) Senator Mir Hasil Bizenjo. On Saturday, Hazara Democratic Party Dr Asghar Ali Chingaizi, PTI’s Nawab Khan Dummdar, Muhammad Bilal, Syed Abdul Shakoor Agha, Noor Mohammad Adil withdrew nomination papers while one candidate Sardar Noor Ahmed Bangalzai’s nomination papers have already been rejected. Khalid Bizenjo of Balochistan Awami Party, Ghousullah of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, Dr Munir Baloch of PTI, Muhammad Ali of Balochistan National Party will now contest the Senate by-election. The by-elections to the seat will be held on September 12.
