Girl arrested for murdering mother
A hearing-impaired girl turned out to be the murderer of her mother and has been arrested in a blind murder case reported in Gulshane Iqbal two weeks back.
The victim identified as Bismillah Inam, 48, was dead in her house in Raza Block of Iqbal Town on August 22.
Her 21-year-old daughter Fajjar Inam was also found missing. It was initially inferred that unidentified suspects had abducted Inam after killing the mother.
However, after two weeks, police found that the daughter killed her mother.
The details revealed that Inamul Haque reported before the police that he left for work in the morning and when he returned home at night, he found his wife in a pool of blood. He maintained that a hammer was also lying nearby. His two sons, both hearing and verbally impaired identified as Abdul Rehman, 25 and Junaid, 23, had gone to Islamabad for recreational purposes.
Only his daughter and wife were present in the house. He searched for his daughter but could not spot her in the house. A motorcycle from the house was also missing.
The case was registered in Gulshane Iqbal and was referred to the CIA wing for investigations.
Iqbal Town DSP CIA told The Express Tribune that they launched the investigations and focused on the collection of technical pieces of evidence.
CCTV footage was collected and the prime suspect Inam with her lover Azeem was arrested.
