‘Sindh govt’s incapacity more harmful than rain’

HYDERABAD:

The Sindh government's incapacity has rendered more harm to the province than the rain, claimed Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, while visiting flood-hit parts of Badin with Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar on Wednesday.

The governors distributed relief goods among the affected people and visited Lakha Dino Army Public School, where a relief camp had been set up for those displaced due to flooding.

Sarwar said that Sindh always stood in good stead with Punjab in its time of need, and assured that his province would also reciprocate that generosity.

He announced that the Punjab government would distribute ration bags among 100,000 people affected by flooding in Sindh. He further stated that a NGO from Punjab would lend interest-free loans of Rs50,000 to Rs100,000 to 50,000 affected people in Sindh.
