Shehbaz Sharif arrives in Karachi on two-day visit

PML-N president to visit areas affected from urban flooding and torrential rains

LAHORE:

Leader of the Opposition and PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Karachi on Wednesday on a two-day visit to the port city after it was ravaged by urban flooding due to record rainfall.

The PML-N president is accompanied by senior party leaders Ahsan Iqbal and Maryam Aurangzeb. The leader of the opposition is expected to meet the Chairperson Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari at his Bilawal House residence to discuss the overall political situation of the country. Shehbaz is also expected to meet the party Co-Chairperson Asif Ali Zardari.
 

Matters related to overall political sovereignty, the upcoming All Parties Conference (APC) and the future stance of the opposition against the incumbent government will be discussed.

Shehbaz, while in the port city, will also visit rain-affected areas to express solidarity with those affected from the torrential rains.

The PML-N president Shahbaz Sharif will also visit the party’s Manzoor Colony office, meet with workers and get a briefing on the impact of rains and floods. During the visit, he will also visit Faisal Edhi of Edhi Foundation. He is scheduled to return to Lahore on Thursday.
