Court seeks police file in suicide case

A local court sought on Monday the police file pertaining to a doctor’s suicide from the investigation officer. The South judicial magistrate was hearing the case at the Karachi City Court, where the counsel of the accused, Tabish Qureshi, filed a bail plea on his client’s behalf. According to the police, the deceased doctor had shot herself with a pistol registered in the name of accused Saad Siddiqui, while Qureshi had provided her with the weapon. Qureshi is currently in police custody on judicial remand.
