Two alleged robbers killed in encounter

FAISALABAD:

Two robbers were killed in a police encounter with Chak Jhumra police while one managed to escape.

Police recovered jewellery and cash from the slain robbers and shifted the bodies to Allied Hospital for autopsy. The two robbers who were killed were wanted by the police in several crimes.

The details revealed that the three robbers were on a motorcycle on Chak No 193 RB Sharinwala Expressway area of Kharyanwala.

They made some women hostage who were on their way on a motorcycle rickshaw and snatched cash, gold jewellery and mobile phones from them and ran away to Jhumra. The two robbers were killed during a half-hour exchange of fire with police. One of the robbers managed to escape.
