The Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) staff was encircled and threatened by unidentified armed men during an anti-encroachment operation in Gulistan-e-Johar on Monday.
The armed men threatened the SBCA staff and prevented them from continuing the operation. According to SBCA officials, the men forced them to stop the operation at gunpoint, threatening to kill them. They stated that the unidentified attackers claimed that they knew where the SBCA director general lived, adding that they would face dire consequences if they continued the operation.
The officials added that the operation was subsequently suspended and a report about the incident was sent to the Sindh government.
