Cop injured in encounter

A police official was injured during an encounter with robbers in Bhains Colony on Friday, while the suspects managed to escape. The suspects were reportedly looting a citizen at gunpoint when constable Mansoor arrived. The robbers opened fire at him, leaving him injured, and then fled under cover of aerial firing. Thereafter, a large police contingent rushed to the spot and shifted Mansoor to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for treatment. According to hospital officials, the constable is in stable condition.
