The body of a retired Pakistan Railways employee was found in a house on Tara Chand Road in Keamari, in the limits of Jackson Police Station, on Thursday.
According to SHO Malik Adil, the deceased used to live alone and while it was initially reported that he had committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan, the police later suspected he was strangled to death by someone else. He said the police was awaiting the post-mortem report and was investigating the matter.
Meanwhile, the body was shifted to Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
