Burglary: Jewellery shop robbed

HARIPUR: A jewellery shop was robbed in broad daylight in the jurisdiction of City Police Station on Friday. Shahid Nadeem, the owner of Yasir Nadeem Jewellers in Main Bazaar, said he was busy dealing with customers when three armed men entered his shop and held all the inmates at gunpoint. He said the robbers took away almost 600 grams of gold ornaments worth approximately Rs2.3 million. The police said they had put the security on alert and the culprits would be arrested soon.
