PESHAWAR:

Residents of the provincial capital on Wednesday staged a protest against unannounced load-shedding there. The protesters blocked the main road in Saddar market of the city. Residents of Gulberg, Nothia and Saddar along with traders demanded of the government to end the frequent power outages which have made it difficult to run daily domestic affairs and businesses in one of the commercial area of Peshawar. Addressing the protesters, the Ihttehad-e-Tajiran President Mujibur Rehman said that due to prolonged and unannounced load-shedding in the provincial capital businesses have been crippled. Residents of the nearby areas are faced with shortage of water, he said, adding that the issues should be resolved immediately. He warned that they would block all the roads in the Saddar area if their demand was not addressed.
