PUBG to host special event for Pakistan's Independence Day

The Player’s Unknown Battleground (PUBG) is celebrating Pakistan’s 74th Independence Day by hosting a special event for local players.

The Fabulous Journey Event incorporates a competitive gaming session in which players will have to finish missions and receive rewards as they move ahead in the game.

Players will have to complete certain tasks or missions to receive flip points following which they move along Pakistan’s map that has famous historic sites such as Chitral National Park, Badshahi Mosque, Noor Mahal, Clock Tower, Derawar Fort, Ziarat Residency, Mazar-e-Quaid, and Hingol National Park. successful players will also recieve rewards.

PUBG was recently banned by The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) due to several complaints about it being "addictive", a waste of time and its potential negative impact on children's physical and psychological health.

The authority said it had come across various studies, papers, and reports regarding the impact of internet games, specifically PUBG, on the mental as well as physical health of the players.

However, Islamabad High Court (IHC) nullified the authority’s move and directed it to immediately lift the ban.
