Covid-19 claims three move lives in Punjab

With 137 fresh infections, total cases across province exceed 94,360

The coronavirus disease has taken three more lives in the province while the total number of cases, in Punjab, exceeded 94,360 after registration of 137 new cases.

Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department (P&SHD) officials said on Sunday that the total number of deaths has so far been recorded at 2,169.

The P&SHD officials confirmed that 49 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in the provincial capital, one in Kasur, two in Sheikhupura, 12 in Rawalpindi, 13 in Gujranwala, eight in Sialkot, two in Narowal, seven in Gujrat, one in Hafizabad, four in Mandi Bahauddin, seven in Multan, one in Vehari and eight in Faisalabad.

Moreover, one virus case was reported in Chiniot, three in Toba Tek Singh, two in Jhang, one in Rahim Yar Khan, two in Sargodha, one in Mianwali, one in Khushab, one in Bahawalpur, two in Dera Ghazi Khan, two in Muzaffargarh, one in Rajanpur, two in Sahiwal and three in Okara districts during the last 24 hours.

The healthcare department has conducted more than 775,970 tests for Covid-19 so far while at least 86,266 confirmed cases recovered in the province.
