3 killed, one injured in road accidents

Police took all three bodies into their custody and handed them over to the families

FAISALABAD:

Three people were killed and another was injured in traffic accidents in the district on Wednesday.

Local sources said that 12-year-old Ahmed, son of Asif, a resident of 202RB Gutti near Jhanda Nawala, was travelling along with his 19-year-old friend Haris, son of Yaqub, when their motorcycle collided with another motorbike coming from the opposite direction and they both fell onto the road.

A tractor trolley coming from behind ran over them. As a result, Ahmed died on the spot. Harris was rushed to a hospital in a critical condition.

In another incident, Muhammad Younis, a resident of Azamabad near Jawad Club in the precinct of Razaabad police station, was hit and injured by a motorcyclist while crossing the road.

He succumbed to injuries at General Hospital Ghulam Mohammadabad. Meanwhile, 50-year-old Mohammad Iqbal, son of Amir, died on the spot after a collision between a rickshaw and a motorcycle near 65 Chak Bypass of Samundri.

Police took all three bodies into their custody and handed them over to the families after completing the legal process.
