Man ‘poisons wife’ in Ghotki

A man allegedly poisoned his wife and secretly buried her body in a local graveyard in Ghotki district on Thursday. SHO Ghulam Haider Mangi stated that the suspect, Azeem Mehar, fled after killing his wife, 23-year-old Fauzia. According to Mangi, Mehar had married Fauzia after buying her from Punjab and allegedly killed her because she had attempted to escape. He added that an FIR had been registered against Mehar on the state’s complaint, while an application for exhuming the body would also be submitted in court.
