Sarwar highlights action against mafias

Says govt strengthening institutions by ending political interference

Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar has said that for the first time in Pakistan’s history the government is taking action against mafias involved in looting the people.

Talking to various delegations that called on him, the governor said Prime Minister Imran Khan has no personal agenda and his only mission is the progress and prosperity of Pakistan. He also cautioned that the only way to protect the citizens from coronavirus is to celebrate Eid with simplicity.

He also visited the residence of Interior Minister Ejaz Shah to offer condolences on the demise of his brother Ahmad Hassan.

Punjab Governor House now available for functions

Addressing the delegations in Governor House, Sarwar said the PTI government is proving practically that the supremacy of the Constitution and laws will be ensured in Pakistan. “We are the first government that is taking strict action against mafias who were looting the public. We are safeguarding public interests,” he added.

The governor said the government was strengthening national institutions by eliminating political interference from them. “We are diligently working to make Pakistan strong and progressive. The purpose of all governmental policies is to provide relief to the public.
