The Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) has finalised its Eidul Azha cleanliness plan. Under the plan, the company intends to deploy 412 vehicles to lift over 9,000 tonnes of offal, entrails and waste of sacrificial animals. In this regard, the company has suspended all holidays of its sanitation staff. The RWMC will also establish 14 permanent and 37 mobile transfer stations in different tehsils of Rawalpindi. Further, four sanitary workers along with two pushcarts will be deployed at the 22 large slaughtering sites in the city. The RWMC officials said that they will provide bags to the people to put their waste in so that it can be safely picked up by their sanitation teams.
