LEAs block roads in Clifton

The roads were reopened later in the day

The police cordoned off several roads in Clifton for security reasons on Thursday, setting up barriers and other obstacles for traffic. Meanwhile, vehicles were diverted to alternative routes. The Clifton division police blocked off roads in Clifton Block 4 for several hours using barriers, trucks and other items, citing security reasons. According to the traffic police, the road heading from the shrine of Abdullah Shah Ghazi to Casino Chowrangi was closed for traffic, as well as the road leading from Boat Basin to Bilawal House. While the roads were reopened later in the day, dozens of police vans remained deployed at various street corners as well as near consulates located in the area.
