Our Correspondent July 16, 2020

LAHORE:

As part of updating the 8787 complaint centre, Punjab Police has decided to link it with a dashboard displayed in front of the additional IG (AIG) internal accountability, said Punjab IGP Shoaib Dastagir. “The updating of the system has also been aligned to be attached to the discipline matrix.” The IGP added that if a complaint was received against any police official at 8787 complaint centre from any district or unit, then under modern integrated system immediate alert should be issued on dashboard of AIG IAB. It was necessary for timely resolution of public complaints regarding police employees, he further said. He directed the AIG to personally monitor public complaints against police employees and also admonish supervisory officers for delay in taking action. “The dashboard being displayed before AIG IAB will also have discipline matrix displayed before it in the updated system.”
