
The Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has set up sale-points across the country where students can acquire the prospectus of the varsity. These sale points will start operating from July 15.
In the first phase of admissions for the Autumn 2020 semester, the varsity has made admission forms for all academic programmes of the varsity available on its website. Moreover, per the directives of AIOU Vice-Chancellor Dr Zialul Qayyum, the university has set up sales points in all small and large towns of the country from where students can obtain the prospectus and admission forms. Moreover, each regional centre of the varsity has also been directed by the competent authority to establish an information desk for the provision of admission-related information and admission forms to students.
Details of the prospectus sale points have also been uploaded onto the university’s website, said AIOU’s admissions and mailing director.
He further informed that in the first phase, the university will offer admissions in Matriculation, Federal Arts (FA) - general, FA -Dars-e-Nizami, BS (face-to-face), MSc (face-to-face), MPhil and PhD in different subjects.
It is pertinent to mention that as per guidelines of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), this will be the last time of MA, MSc and MEd programmes will be offered.
The last date for submitting admission applications for Matric, FA (general), and FA (Dars-e-Nizami) programmes has been set as September 4, while admission forms of BS and MSc (face-to-face) and M.Phil and PhD programmes can be submitted be until August 19.
