BSEK waives fees for LEA martyrs' children

A notification stated that the decision had been made in a meeting of the BSEK board of governors

KARACHI:

The Board of Secondary Education, Karachi, (BSEK) announced on Monday that it had decided to waive the enrollment, registration and examination fees for the children of martyred personnel of the Pakistan Army, Sindh Rangers, Sindh Police and other law enforcement agencies. The same waiver has also been extended to differently-abled children.

A notification stated that the decision had been made in a meeting of the BSEK board of governors.

BSEK chairperson Dr Saeeduddin.explained that visually-impaired, hearing-impaired and differently-abled children were also entitled to this concession, to avail which they have to present certificates issued by the Sindh government, National Database and Registration Authority or the social welfare department.

He added that the teachers' fee for checking examination copies had been increased from Rs16 to Rs20 per copy, applicable from the next examinations.
