‘MQM-L hitman’ nabbed by police

An alleged target killer was arrested and weapons confiscated from his possession during an operation carried out by the East Zone police on Monday. According to the police, the arrested suspect, Muhammad Alam, is a member of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London, who has confessed to the murders of traders and political opponents. The police further claimed that he was involved in the May 12 incident and had admitted to being a paid hitman who carried out targeted killings for Rs70,000 to Rs100,000 per murder. He has reportedly never been arrested before.
