
A clerk at a general store was shot and injured by robbers when he tried to stop them in Gulistan-e-Jauhar on Monday. The thieves had reportedly stolen Rs400,000 from a mobile store when the 45-year-old clerk, Ghulam Rasool, attempted to prevent them from escaping. In response, they opened fire on him and fled. The injured was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for treatment. According to SHO Farman Ali, there had been six robbers, five of whom had been wearing a face mask while one was wearing a helmet. The police have acquired CCTV footage from nearby cameras and have begun investigating the incident. Separately, 24-year-old Ghulam Mustafa was shot and injured by armed robbers near Mehran Depot in Model Colony. He was also shifted to JPMC for treatment.
